Salvation

Have you ever seen a cross on top of a church? around someone's necklace? even a tatoo? What does a cross symbolize? Most people know it has something to do with Jesus. The cross is a symbol that says many things. First the cross says that every person on this earth has sinned, and is guilty before God. Romans 3:23 says "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". That goes against what many people today think, they think that most people are good and deserve to go to heaven because of the good things they have done. The Bible teaches that no one is good enough to earn their way to heaven. God's standard is perfection, and only one person lived a perfect life--Jesus Christ. So Jesus went to the cross to save those that didn't deserve heaven. So the cross says "we have all sinned, and we need a Saviour". The second thing that cross says is that salvation is for all. Jesus died on the cross so that everyone could have salvation. It doesn't matter what you've done, salvation is for you. John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." The third thing the cross can say is "I have salvation". When you give Jesus the leadership of your life, and believe that He died and rose again for you, then the cross says, "you are innocent, you are forgiven, you have salvation." You can salvation today by praying a simple prayer from your heart, just ask Jesus to take charge of your life and thank Him for what He did for you at the cross.
